Loving Hut Surabaya

The perfect place for vegetarians. The food is healthy, vegan with big sufficient portions. The menu is expansive with plentiful options in mock meat made out of soya and very well priced. Surabaya being a non touristy destination, the staff doesn't speak much English which causes a little bit of communication problems. But it as a quiet place with great food. We ordered The asparagus soup - huge bowl serving up to 4 people, homely with authentic Chinese ingredients and fresh produce. Tom yum soup - Huge bowl serving up to 4 people, spicy yet delicious. Waldorf Salad - soya mayonnaise, lots of nuts, raisins and fresh ingredients, extremely tasty and well portioned. Silken Tofu sizzling pan - one of the softest tofus ever, just melts in the mouth. Crispy fried mushroom- varied mushrooms deep fried with a tangy sauce. A definite must try. Mock prawns in a sweet and sour sauce Rice noodles with mock chicken Noodle bowl with fried wontons and a clear soup type side. All in all great food and a definite must try.

My go to place everytime after swimming at delta plaza. Perhaps one of the most famous vegan resto in Surabaya. Taste is delish, price is reasonable, location is nice, and service is good. They have a wide range of variety, indonesian style to western style. My favourite and must have menu is the fried eggplant and fancy nut satay. Totally recommended for those who wants to eat something tasty and healthy.

I ate here today for brunch with some other meat eaters and they were just as surprised as I was of how good the food is! Love it here! The service was spectacular. I ordered the cheerful burger and it tastes amazingggg. One thing I would like for it to change is the size of the patty - It was about 1cm off from the diameter of the bread bun. So whenever I try to take a bite, my teeth just kept pushing the patty off and I ended up eating most of the bun from each bite, instead of eating it in an equal manner. But no complaints on the taste as it was as amazing as it is. I also ordered the vegan egg which was spectacular - I saw that they sell the frozen version too which I was equally tempted to buy but I don't think I am allowed to bring frozen goods back to my country. The orange juice was INCREDIBLE, I dare to say. The juice is freshly squeezed and at a reasonable pricing as well! If I ever come back to Surabaya, I'd definitely stop here again

Service is extremely slow. I had to wait for more than 20 minutes between receiving the menu and actually being able to order something. Staff was just sitting with their phones, I waved at them many times and other guests tried to get their attention as well. I love the wide range of options on the menu. The dish that I got was ok, according to the menu it was supposed to be 'spicy', but it wasn't spicy at all. Still tasty though. Food here is on the pricier side for Indonesian standards. Still giving 4 stars because I think it is really admirable that there is such a big vegan menu.

It was so difficult for us to find vegan food in Surabaya, until Loving Hut! We were so happy when we dined here that we had to come back a second time during our stay in this city! Thank you for existing and making super delicious food. Thank you chef for creating such an amazing variety of vegan food!

Nice food! I brought my cousins and auntie who are not vegetarian themselves, they liked it so much too! A nice gathering spot with nice food. It sells various vegetarian mock meats and snacks too~
